City Final Prints

These are the Final Prints for my City Project :

Witht these prints I wanted to show how Urbanisation has affected Small Towns and Cities. I chose to use double exposures as my technique because I find that multiple exposure photography goes against the nature and rules of traditional photography. I chose to under and overexpose my images to emphasize this notion of fragmentation, dominance and submission with my images. In the majority of my images I have chosen to experiment with using trees in my work as I find them to have this omnipresent quality of nature. I have found these images to be quite experimental, spontaneuos and unique which is due to the complexity of tones, shapes, lines and textures. These images have been hugley infleunced by photographers I have referenced such as Hans Malm, Jason Evans and Lee Friedlander. I think that I have produced visually interesting images that translate my ideas about the rapid growth of ubranisation. To improve these images I think I needed to have a little more thought into what I photograph to get better results.
